I just had a dreadful thought. What if there was only one kind of T/S, we'll say T/A for now, and there was only one trucking company. Let's call the company JB "Swifty" Schneider trucking. No indepedent truckers and no independent truck stops.

I shiver at the thought. Do you think it could ever happen?:biggrin_2551:

All names used here were picked randomly....no seriously.:biggrin_25525:

It's here already!!! You can quit and go from one bad trucking co. to another bad trucking co.!! I like Petro better than T/A with all their hookers!! How about buying out Pilot & Love's and upgrading them from a 'family plaza' to more of a 'trucker's plaza' with repair shops, etc!:biggrin_25516:

Holy Moly! I NEVER would have thought that would've happened. I would think it would be the other way around if anything! Now that is very interesting. It does worry me that all these corporations are coming together and trying for monopolies though...very provocative.

Good for me that I like Walmarts and parking in the middle of no where.

T/A bought out the Union 76 truck stops years ago. Thats where all the old places they have came from, like Lafayette, La. and Mobile, Ala.

Remember the Williams truck stops. They had a nice restraunt and good fuel prices, then Pilot bought them out.

It will probably end up with two companies controlling all the major stops.
