Like I said before I like the place and don't mind the food either. Fueling is a pain but the rest is easy. As far as the Lizards go, show me a TS that don't have them. I have the Internet, TV, Food, etc. I can show you places up here where you get non of this.

I quit going there before it was a TA when they closed the bar down stairs.

i haven't been there in a long while---for good reason, so i will withold final judgment for now.
However, based on previous observations, if you:
1) Like doing things the wrong way, i.e.,
a) been divorced at least twice. More than twice would be better to describe you though.
b) have 6 kids with 7 different women. Yes, it is possible. And you don't see any of said kids.
c) are a dirty mf'er. Not just hygenically, but mentally/spiritually/personality-wise as well.
d) you smoke
e) are a liar
f) are immoral
g) are in danger, or in the process of, or have had a house forclosed upon.
h) are in danger, or in the process of, or have had a vehicle repossed.
i) you worship lynrd skynrd, harley-davidson, nascar etc. only because everyone else you know does and you want to fit in. Granted, lynrd skynrd WAS a good band, but you like them for all the wrong reasons.
j) you don't like black people even though they, for the most part, have done nothing legitimately wrong to cause you not to like them; Again you don't like them for all the wrong reasons.
k) you constantly speak negatively of other people behind their backs as if you're mr./miss perfect which you certainly are not.
l) you constantly talk about women's body parts ALL DAY.
m) you have a mustache
n) you are overweight
o) if you do happen to live with kids, then those kids are not biologically yours and really, you don't give a crap about them----you just want sex from their mother.
Now, if 3 or more of the above apply to you (exceptions are m and n) then this jessup T/A truckstop is perfect for you! You should move here. Seriously.71mack Thanks this. -
Yes, the dryers are GREAT ! The room until they put on those doors gathered dust, etc. to the point of where you wanted to wash your clothes almost as soon as they came out of the washing machine. The room still is somewhat dirty.
Also, the washing machines needed to washed. Meaning there were some drippings of something there that the maintenance staff should be fixing to clean up when it builds up like that.
The floor behind the washing machines and dryers has old Tide boxes and hairballs of lint to the point of I wonder if it's a fire hazard. This stuff behind the washing machines need to be picked up, vacuumed or swept up a bit more often than they currently are. -
I think it was called "Truckers' Inn" and was tied to the 76 oil company. The bar downstairs and below the current restuarant is now storage and offices. I think they closed it because there was a stabbing inside the bar and someone was killed.
Here's the link to Trip Advisor dot com that talks about the Knights Inn (which was brought in when TA took over the independent facility that was there) ...

The reviews aren't exactly a ringing endorsement, are they!

Stayed in the Knights Inn once. That was enough. Now we use the LA Quinta across the street. We have direct bill set up there.

some of you evidently arent old enough to remember some of the truly bad truckstops. example the big a that was located where the petro is now at exit 12 on 285 in atlanta, now that was a hole, or the jersey city truckstop.
on the days the bar was open in jessup and at the stop downtown baltimore , or in the motel behind the 76 in frederick , md or across from the ta in mesquite,tx man oh man what some times -
I remember the Jersey City Truckstop. Got robbed and ripped off (at the same time) there when my company didn't have a load out of Jersey on a Friday.
I told dispatch I would never spend the weekend in New Jersey again and if they didn't have a load for me on Friday, I would be at the dispatch window (in Grand Rapids) Saturday morning.
They didn't believe me.
