Diesel bear what would you have done in this situation. Driver heading east on a 6% grade lost his brakes Overheated them on the grade. Bear at the base of the mountain clocked him at 24 over with Smoke coming off of all 5 axles Logbook is Perfect Drivers last ticket was 5 years prior for a POV MVA. Only thing cop can find is the speeding even after 30 mins the brakes are still smoking hot. Would you have written the ticket.

In Indiana medical cards are linked to your license. If your medical card expires your license get suspended until the state receives an updated current physical form and you pay them a fee for letting your card lapse. I found that out the hard way several years ago.

He should get a ticket. Had he done a proper pre-trip he would have known his brakes were bad, or he was just driving to fast when he started down the hill. Either way he deserves a ticket. Sometimes we have to learn things the hard way whether we like it or not.

Thing was it was my ticket. the Bear was a rookie. The Grade warning sign at the Top had been Removed by Vandals how I found out the Grade was 6% was simple was 1/2 mile down the grade I passed a sign that said 6% grade next 5 Miles. I went #### truck had No Jakes also stood on the Severice brakes slowed her down to safe speed however the Grade was against me and I could not hold her. The cop had no clue how to read a Logbook and also thought I was running when I could not stop right away. DUH I was in a RUNAWAY Truck took me 5 miles to get it safely stopped without burning it to the ground. Got it stopped Aksed for his Supervisor His own Sargent told him to NOT GIVE ME THE TICKET ALSO.

BTW this is the same truck I took down Monarch over Cabbage Cajon Donner Ike Vail Parley with never a problem. When you have no warning of a grade it will biute you in the butt like it did to me that day.

That'd be about the same as running a stop sign that had been stolen. No sign, no ticket.

I know trouble is mr Rookie State Trooper did not see it that way, He nailed me for Speeding and gave me the ticket. Nice little 295 fine for my Birthday present. Saftey was Pissed off at the state that hammered me since they hired such a Idiot for a trooper. I hate to think what it would cost me now 12 years later now that states really look at us as a Revenue stream.
