I have not driven for any company since early December, and I am about to leave for a trip. My big question is what do I put down for company info to indicate my time of unemployment?

In the states they only want the previous 7 days of information.

I would imagine in Canada, they would want the previous 14 days.

I would log 7 days consecutive off. They dont need to know what company you were off. Long as YOU show being off. Show the dates and off duty

I wouldn't even put that in. Leave it blank, just write the date and off for the last 7 days. So you don't waste all those sheets I would write on the remarks box OFF THE LAST 7 DAYS. example : 2/10/11 - 2/17/11 OFF 7 CONSECUTIVE DAYS. thats all then start your next page when you go on duty

You can write all 7 days off duty on the previous page. Multiply 24x7 and put that # in line 1 and put it at the total on the bottom

    Diesel Dave Thanks this.

I thought it would be a 14 day instead of 7...

Its 14 days for Canada and all you need to do is on the first page you would count your last 14th day and from there till yesterday off. And then start from today. I'm from Canada and that's how I did it when I started.

Exactly right. The only variance would be if the previous 14 days over lapped two months then you might want to put the 2 months on 2 seperate pages.

    I miss Kitwanga, BC!
