I start orientation this coming Saturday in Charlotte for OTR. I've had several friends who went with Schneider and had good things to say about them.
Also, I only live 15 miles from the OC, so it will make things a little easier when I actually do get to come off the road...ie (place to park my rig)
I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now. I'm not naive enough to believe everything I have read, but I'm smart enough to know that plenty of it's true.
Does anyone know what kind of miles I can expect to log right out of the gate? And are there any Charlotte drives here that have any experience with the dispatchers from this OC?
I'll try and keep an updated post here like Jason did. I enjoyed reading his thread.

I can't help you about solo miles. I run team with my husband. However I can tell you that we are very satisfied with the way we are treated. Keep them updated with your hours and ETD's and they will keep you moving. Plus they really try to work with a driver when they have an issue they need to deal with. Good luck.

I have talked to some other drivers out of the Charlotte OC and most of them are happy with the miles. I have been hearing that SNI is getting away from OTR for solo drivers. The terminal that I was out of, well most of the OTR drivers where lucky to avg 2000/mi per week.

I too am planning on going with schniedere once i finish school in a few weeks. I wanted to know how long is training once you finish schoo, and how long are you out before you get to come home. Do you stay out until you finish training, or will you get a chance to come home. Any help will be appreciated

The orientation is 7 days long and is both classroom and driving training. Then you go out with your trainer for anywhere between 5-14 days. The time you're out with your trainer varies between each person and his/her skills. Durring that time if your trainer has time off and if he/she lives near you then you can go home as well. Also between passing orientation and going out with your trainer you might have some down time depending on where your trainer is and when he/she gets a load towards you to pick you up.

That would be best answered by talking with a recruiter. Schneider recruiters are known to not B.S. you like other large company recruiters would
