Burn it
Wow, that's hard on the pocket.

REDD disabled the EGR valve on his utter dissapointment - I mean Volvo. Seems to be doing better so far...

Grease truck every 10k??
I grease mine every 2500kms how I have always been told I think every 10k miles is pushing it that is when I do my oil changes. I could see for certain things but for driveline I think 10k is far too long. -
It is better to have the A/C on rather than having the windows down.

I only want loads that go downhill... that should help.

I lube mine every 25,000 miles or so ( I do 50,000 mile oil changes). Modern greases are so much better than those of 30 years ago yet many of us still use those old service intervals.
Yeah I know that 'grease and oil are cheap'...but I just replaced the first u-joint in this truck after owning it 7 years and about 700,000 miles. It seems to be working for me. -
Thats pretty impressive must be the off road I do then because I was greasing my camshafts for my brakes on my lowbed about every 5000-7500 miles and they all seized up and had to have all the camshafts replaced.
Since then I went back to the 2500 grease interval and your right grease is cheap and thats what the boss says too. -
Lube intervals seem to vary from truck to truck and application. I lube every 7000 to 8000 miles pulling and RGN double drop and sometimes it doesn't seem like enough. I always lube with my brakes released.
Going back to the original post, unless you run an oil bypass system you cannot recover the extra cost of using full synthetic oil. If you do run a bypass system then the synthetic oil really pays to use because they extend the oil change intervals by about 8 to 10 times on average. -
Nope... OTR.
And the u-joint was replaced simply because the power divider failed and the tech simply didn't want to reinstall a used joint... it could have been returned to service.
Oils and greases have come a long way since I started driving...
