I agree - it's not that people are being "lazy" and enjoy getting free money to stay home, and yes they could get a whatever job for $6.50 an hour. But a $6.50 an hour job could not even cover the most basic of my expenses; I'd be homeless.

Hence, unemployment - which is based off your current income . In Mass, unemployment maxes out at $600 a week, $2400 a month, so at least people can survive and get by, which they couldn't working a minimum wage job.

you guys seem to overlook, he states he has been offered jobs that pay 8.00 an hour.

fact is, if a driver has clean mvr, good driving and performance record and no problems with drug tests. he CAN find a job. now as far as johnsmith. dude , on unemployment only how did you ever think you could pay for a 30,000 dollar nine month school???? then part way in you quit, you also state about the high standards, probably some of that came across in the phone interview and you gave them the feeling if things werent exactly to your liking you would bail.

i am with walstib on this one, quit whining, look for MORE than 2 jobs Aweek to draw your take, take a job no matter the pay and gwt back in the swing of things.

quit whining , quit blaming the world for your troubles, look at the guy in the mirror and accept that he is the cause of any problems thru decisions he has made in the past, then start making the right ones.

and the rest of you quit mooly-coddlin the guys and giving him more excuses to get off his rectal support region

There's always a reason to not do something, some are valid, some are just excuses...I went from making $20k/mth to $2-4k/mth because I was willing to do what was necessary, not what I wanted...Come to find out I like what I'm doing now too, I wish there was more money in it but it's better than living off the of the govt...

Last two years I have been full-time in college and prior to that for about a year was working off the books while taking care of a sick family member. (previous job history prior to this was very solid) Prime called my boss and confirmed it with him and still wanted tax documents. So....kick rocks Prime. Hope I don't continue to run into this myself, its like getting punished for doing the right thing (helping family)
