Williston is a booming town. I go up there twice a week from Colorado and it is cold. Few weeks ago it took them all day to get me unloaded, it was 13 below plus the wind. Good luck finding a place to stay. I drive back to Miles City to sleep only place that has a vacancy.

all the areas in North West ND are booming..my company hires for Dickinson..Watford City..Stanley..Ray..Tioga..Williston and they hold orientations every week to hire

I posted this on another thread but i ran across an add for somewhere in the ND area. It was a 2 week on 2 week off position. Pretty good money and hours according to the add. Do any of these companies mess with people that would be traveling back and forth on the 2 weeks off? I live in Tennessee but am very interested in something like this. By the numbers on the add the money would be worth it but would the far away home base keep these companies from messing with me. I dont want to relocate but the 2 weeks on and off would make home life still feasible. Anyone have any insight to this? If anyone has any usefull info please feel frr to PM me or reply here.

AC22 Is Missouri Basin hiring O/O's with their own vac tanker, pump and wet kit? Do you know if they have lease trailers?
-
I'm also very interested in going to work next door (ND) living in MT as a newbie graduate. Thank you!

I already have a Rv in williston, I worked last out there this past yr heating tanks as a heater operator, I have since bought a truck with a wet kit and pump. I am just waiting on my Dragon trl to get here. Does Missouri basin here O/Os with tank and truck?
-
I don't know for sure if Missouri Basin takes on o/o with vacs. I don't think so. Deer Valley, Cascade, and Enermax do for sure. Knockin on door doesn't hurt but you need the trailer first. Some will put you to work nearly immediately with the right equipment.
MONTANAN8TV and jvar4001 Thank this. -
I don't know if they lease trailers. There were, but not sure anymore. Rumor is that they bought Ward Williston and then some investment company bought Missouri Basin. The oilpatch is full of rumors so who really knows for sure...MONTANAN8TV Thanks this.

I don't think Missouri Basin will "lease" you on, you will be a contractor that works for them.(you have to have your own authority)Best thing to do is just call them, sounds like they need a bunch more trucks. And yes they did buy Ward Williston, didn't hear anything about an investment buying M.B.W.S.
MONTANAN8TV Thanks this. -
"Lease" is a pretty loose term. They have to be under them as a leaser/contractor to work on oil/gas locations. "Contract" trucks generally don't have the ability to have master service agreements to work on sites. Most still require o/o to have their own authority but are under the company (ie:MBWS) as a leaser to get onto sites.
