Once again Im not blameing the company because i failed the test. I am blameing the Central Refridgerated for putting a negative mark on everyones' DAC that fail their upgrade test. Thus making it difficult for them to gain employment. .....And know one is playing the race card. 1Badazz wants to know if it was me in the truck when he took his upgrade. he wants to know if we were in the same class. Im giving him little clues of who i am. If he was in the truck with me he would know by me telling him how I look. Get it right!

Sorry Kentucky, the Simon's own Kelley transport. Jerry Moyes started Central and bought it from the Dick Simon who was in Bankruptcy. Jerry Moyes is a major share holder of Swift. Swift is a public company, Central is a private company. Jerry's daughter is a big influencer on Central but not the pres. Jon Issacson is current CEO.

I dont want people to lose focus on what this thread is about so I will make it clear again. If you are going to Central Refridgerated Truck Driving Academy. Just because you passed the CDL test and got your A liscense, doesn't mean everything is over. You still have to take the uprade road test. If you have a trainer that you are not learning from it would behoove you to call your freight manager or recruiter or safety and get another. Because if you fail that test they might be nice and let you go out with another trainer or they may not be nice and send you packing on the Greyhound. I have personally seen two people not get a second chance. One person pulled up too many times while trying to do his back and the guy giving him the test stopped him and sent him packing. Another Backed perfectly but was grinding gears, sent her packing too. No second chance for them. And terminated on their DAC report for failing.

Now what happens if you fail and you think im not a quitter im going back to school and im going to try again... You will find out that know one will hire you unless you have 6 months recent OTR experience. Even with a refresher they still want recent experience.

Now If you do fail and you are wandering is there any way at all I can get back in to trucking. The answer is yes but it aint easy. A few suggestions. You can apply to work for a food and beverage delivery company like Pepsi and Performance Food Group. Another is CR England. You have to take the england refresher course at a cost of $1500 then go out with a trainer for 6 weeks, pass their upgrade test and go out with a lease operator for 60 days. Thats a long time to live with someone else but you will be back in a truck. I have been told by two Swift recruiters that terminated on your DAC is ok and ive been told that Swift recruiters lie. I will find out soon about Swift and let you know for sure.
Joining the army or reserves as an 88m motor transport operator will give you all the skills youll need to operate a wide variety of heavy trucks. And 88m is excepted by Schinder National as experience.
Now If you have been through this before and have overcome it. I would love to hear your experiences

Is it just me or does it seem like this guys is really focused on the whole "No test" aspect of getting in the door?
