my average length of haul is 1500miles.
My truck CAN do the speed limit
I DO NOT wait on shippers and receivers very often 95% of the time im getting loaded or unloaded the secound I pull in
I DO NOT stop once I start my 14 hour clock, its pre-trip, DRIVE, Fuel only when I have to. And occasioally take a 15 minute break 1 at the most
I eat/shower and whatever else after I park

Go over to the Watkins Shepard section, i'm certianly not the only W/S driver to break 4000 miles in a week, its quite common.

And the weeks where I run big miles im NOT doing LTL runs. I run LTL out of Conover, NC to and from anywhere else is just a trailer load of whatever.

A good week doing LTL is 2500miles with 15-20 stops thats $1,087.5 Gross for me.

A good week for miles is 4000 which is $1,100

Either way I have to work my az$ off for it, but its better then the 1500-2500 miles working for a Bottom Feeder

He has over 2,500 posts in 2 years? When does he do all of this posting? From his crackberry while he is doing all of this super-trucker driving?? Isnt that illegal now???

2500 posts / 730 days = 3.5 posts per day, every single day solid for two years...

I thought minimum age for most companies was usually 23... (not legal age to get cdl)

I think the poo is getting a bit deep in here... LOL

Thanks, I was just about to try to do the math on that to figure out what the CPM would be on that. It does seem a tad low, even if it's one of those "per diem" pay plans.

No it's not a per diem pay plan and the 27.5 is his new raise that he just received after 90 days with the company. He started out at .25

I just went back over his thread and his first load was 10/10/2010 so it has been a little longer than 90 days with the company.

At My husband has driven for W/S longer than you have been alive and he truly would like to know your secret because he waits on shippers and receivers all the time. Just yesterday he had 2 drops at Wal-Mart DC's and the first drop was a 2 hr wait and the second was a 4 hr wait. This is the norm for any driver so he really wants to know how you get loaded and unloaded the second you pull in the yard, even if as you say it's 95% of the time. He would take that in a heart beat. So please enlighten us..I know several other drivers want to know as well..

    red_eye and Bankrobba Thank this.

Your a little slow there...You only have to be 18 to obtain a Class A CDL, I was handed mine from the NC DMV on March 28th 2008 when I was 18

There are drivers on here with 10,000+post and your wineing about how many post i have why?

Do you not beleive I drive because im 21 and you "know" that companies dont hire until your 23? if so ask any of the 10 r so drivers I know on here from the same company I work for......

Got anymore BS you'd like to through around?

Try reading my blog in the Watkins Shepard section, and save yourself the trouble of makeing a a$Z out of yourself on here.
