That is good to hear. Torrance may be voting the IBT back in though. New manager problems etc. I'm at 467 (Industry-Local 986)...Come on back.....their looking for 2 or 3 people now. The NOC finally got better at the whole scheduling thing, I think someone bought them a map..lol

Sorry about CTI...... I believe their owned by Quality Carriers now and I can attest that like you said, their equipment is poor. In Baytown they sell most of it to the drivers for a ridicules amount.

Regarding Linde...... would be a good job...they recently bought BOC CO2 ops. in Baytown along with MG industries. Last I heard they had a gal ( Kathy ) running Baytown and she doesn't get good reviews...but that's driver talk.....

Actually we bought ALL of BOC almost 4 years ago...And MG Industries has been out of business for years. They were purchased by Airgas quite a while ago..It's all Airgas now. Airgas is one of our "partner" companies..All those crappy little tanks with really annoying customers. I worked in Baytown for years when it was still Big 3 Industries...and then along came Air Liquide and screwed that up. I "retired" from AL and went to Linde, MUCH better place to work.

You retired from Bayport? PM me your name...... and MG sold the Bayport C02 plant to BOC. No Airgas involved. Airgas built a new 450tpd inside Shell, I was on the start up team. Leaky Air shut down the Beaumont C02 plant years ago and Relliant rails their product in from Mis. to Port Arthur.

Lets chew the fat and I'll get you to speed.....

Thanks for the invite but i'm going to have to decline. I am very happy over here. The NOC was good to me. I worked a lot with Kevin. I was on the linehaul when I left. Nothing like running to the bay area and nevada while the company paid for motels and food. Like I said, they are a great company to work for.

    Drive safe

:) thats why they dont shut companies like them down. The Gov. thrives on more regulations. You cant get public backing, unless you can prove to the public there are vialations , that need gov. attention. So thus companies like the one you mentioned get enough rope to hang the whole industry. Good luck out there. As for me , I dont have to worry about all that kinda stuff no more. Thanks to Celadon. I would be upset ,but Im actually enjoying all this time I get to spend with my family.:biggrin_25511:

Jeez y'all...it ain't that great at Linde. In fact, after YEARS of being with BOC/Linde I'm leaving. I'll not tolerate a camera in my truck. Cathy is not the problem in Baytown, it's Shilo in Bayport that's the problem...she knows nothing of humanity and EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING is rule book, rule book, rule book. NOC is an absolute joke and they can't seem to get it together. Many times I am left with 8 hours at the end of a 60 hour week, AFTER I've made my last run/s for the week. They are ALWAYS expecting YOU to take up slack and EVERYTHING is YOUR fault, including the printer running out of ink. I could go into it in more detail but I do need to get some sleep. Just suffice it to say it ain't fun anymore and it's WAY TOO P/C. Out of 16 or 17 drivers in the Baytown/Bayport area I think there are 6 happy campers. Only 2 of those have more than one year with the company...the rest either needed health insurance and three decided to sell their own trucks due to the economy. Naw, I've had enough. I'm ready to hit the road again.

boogeyman, what is it you don't like about Genox?

Man, I'm really sorry to hear about that. In the West we are all Teamster, so we just blow off a lot of their PC garbage...DRI's/ camera's (we don't have them-because we won't negotiate with them about it) we don't worry about because we are protected against them in our contract. I'm at 7% speeding for the month...LOL, and there isn't anything they can do about it. The NOC IS a bunch of idiots..Stupid college kids that can't read a map....HPO ??? (and you know what I'm talking about)what a joke...Fortunately our local management is still pretty cool..Plus, I just learned to say NO a long time ago....or the ever popular "I'm fatigued"...You just have to use their own playbook against them..The NOC puts together a ridiculous day, so I run my 10, call in and head back to the barn...drives them nuts..just playing the game for 2 more years....and then pulling the plug. Heck at least you guys get to run 65, try a load to Fresno at 54mph...And yes, the printer thing happens out here too..I just leave without my NF..Screw em.
