Hey, dummy! Yeah, you! In the old Freightshaker with the Swift logos on each side! Listening? Good! Turn your jakes off in the parking lot! I don't care if you have straight pipes on that thing. Some people are trying to sleep! And while you're at it, how about ya slow down a little? Especially coming around that dark corner where you can't see around the trailers. You might think you look and sound cool, but you're not impressing anybody.
What are ya trying to do? Show you can jack-knife your bobtail? You are acting like a teenager. Grow up!
Sheesh!
Seriously???

This person doesn't know what the internet is let alone have any sense to turn jake brakes off.
JimDriv3r Thanks this. -
Yea I hear them as well sometimes at the terminals and it makes no sense.
-
Drivers that run with their jakes while bob-tailing really kill me. It's sad when they do this in the late hours while other drivers are trying to sleep. Some people really don't care about their fellow drivers.

Where's your Swift truck Injun?
-
same goes for fog lights. if you're too dumb to know you can select just the headlights, and that having fog lights on really dont do you any good.......UNLESS ITS FOGGY.......especially in a swift yard......
i think we need to start a thread for dumb swift drivers, and start posting truck numbers.... -
I did that once to make fun of people at the terminal who were doing it. I did it during the day. I was surprised the jake even came on at 5-10mph. Went right by the terminal building too when I did it, while there were bunches of people outside. Found a spot right near the front, hopped out and came walking up with a big grin and a hearty 'hello everyone!'.
..They probably thought I was a jerk. -
I'll admit that:
A) I drove one of the old 'Shakers.
B) I have forgotten to kill the jakes when pulling into a TS. But at 1st growl, that switch was snapped to off.
This was probably one of those mental giants who thinks it's cool.Injun Thanks this. -
