....read this entire thread, and im hooked on it like crack. Of course i was hoping to hear about him going with swift....but its like a soap opera...the plot thickens and keep turning!

Wedge, i sure hope things continue to progress forward and more importantly...in a postive direction! Seems like you have come so far with such determination, that failure....( on the companies' part ) is not an option! Keep on trucking!

    Drive safe and happy motoring.

    Wedge Thanks this.

Pick up the letters from the doc yesterday. Very well written. If Central gives me their stamp of approval, I can get moving again.

    I'm hanging, I'm hanging.

    Hey Sammycat!

I sure have waited it out. Once I end up back in the truck, I'll be happier. Hopefully the wait won't be too long to get back out with a trainer.

    Hey Roadrunner,

I utilized the WIA program which, if I'm not mistaken, is a federal program to assist those that need training so they can be employed. Many states, if not all, have this program. I qualified as a "displaced worker" because I relocated to GA and there are no engineering positions available in this area which I'm qualified for (I designed laboratory automation for pharmaceutical R&D).

So after I took all of their tests, they provided a list of occupations that I'm qualified for. They pay for the training, but you will be required to stay in the career you have chosen for a year. It's free money so I went that route.

You can get information on the program through the Department of Labor. The process takes about 4 weeks but IMO it's well worth the wait.

Hey AZS, I have plenty of determination, that's a fact. It's getting through the red tape that takes some doing.

I'm sure in the end we'll all be on the same page.

Hello there, BigRigBamaTrucker. Pleased to meet you. :biggrin_25514:

I didn't expect this thread to turn into a continuing saga, but it sure did. :biggrin_2556:

I hope that I can get back on the road and begin posting about the training instead of the delays. But, I hope some of what I'm experiencing may be of value to others.

    Onward!
