I am really glad that someone else mentioned Turbo Tax--the IRS(gov't)is trying to get everyone to file electronically--which sounds fine in theory--but why do I have to pay for it? The IRS website has all the forms--but you cannot e-file directly--when you go to e-file thru their website--it sends you to turbo tax? and unless you file a 1040ez form--you have to pay for it? Brought this up with my accountant last year--maybe I am missing something--but the whole deal just seems wrong to me?

I am deffinately gonna talk to my accounttant.. I questioned my employer when I started 2 years ago, and they said that's the way NC makes them do things. Another driver that lives in Bama had NC taken out..and still ended up owing both NC and Bama. Basicly I guess were paying for the privelege of workin in NC

Well FYI guys, especialy anybody thinking of Driving for a company out of N.Carolina. Just found it on they're website..as a non resident who works for a N. Carolina based company, you still have to have withholding taken out. Once again the fn beaurocrats find a way to get they're greasy fingers on our paychecks. I wonder...since I'm taxed like a resident..can I claim my sleeper as a residence..lol. Preciate the input since I started the thread.
