Low speed only or at all times ???By low I mean 1000 RPM's or less.
-
All the time. It gets worse as you let it sit an idle. Could I need injectors? I just put one in after a shop ran a test.
-
Could be injector and could also be a faulty head with a very slight wear pattern near one of the injectors.
-
mine does almost the same stuff after injectors where changed light tick at times tack moves around 1150 1200
-
Just thinking out loud here. Where did you get the work done? Was the overhead done correctly? Did you get the block cut?
-
I got the work done at Diesel Power and Machine in Peirceton IN. I don't know what you mean block cut
-
Did you get the block resurfaced or did they just put it back together. With out cutting the block ( resurfaced) the head gasket don't seem to last to long before it blows again. Could be a week, could be a year. You might also have a cracked spring. That'll make a tick sound or even make it sound like an exhaust leak. Hope this helps
-
yes that helps but what spring are you talking about? I need all the help I can get!!!
I think you might be on to something because even the jake brake doesn't sound right.. -
I believe he is talking about a cracked/bad valvespring. What kind of warranty did you get? and was it doing this before the work was done?
