Never work for a company that sends you a bus ticket.

terminal wasn't that bad. It's when I transfered to the Syracuse terminal, with that F##$%^& Pr##$ Hosea, that everything went down hill for me. I was there a year and a half. I think it depends on the terminal and TM. I thought I was going to end up in jail, I wanted to beat the tampon out of that B##$% ! It wasn't a bad company, just bad DMs and TMs. Most of whom are recent college grads, none former drivers.

Care to elaborate ?

i've worked for Knight a year and a half and I'm happy here, don't get me wrong though I've had my days. I meet a lot of unhappy drivers and hear a lot of complaints but I know more that feel the same way I do. I've never turned down a load and haven't been late for a single appointment since I've been here so they do take good care of me. Are they perfect? No, but I like them and trust them well enough that I'm doing a lease purchase on my Pete since it's coming up for trade. It was a tough decision made easier talking to other hands doing the same.
1026 Thanks this. -
I know a lease driver that leased a truck from them, he was with then over 2 years as company then leased,,,he had to turn the truck back to take care of his wife who dying from cancer and he was the only care giver she had,,,she died last month,,,,he asked if he could return and lease another truck...they said NO,,you have to start all over again at the bottom with orientation and then company driver again and after 90 days he could request it again.....thats all I have to say and yes I know alot of companies have that policy but did you ever hear of having some compassion and taking things one case at a time when it comes to having to leave for awhile and not just quitting

I worked for them for a year and a half back in 2003, I had went there in the first place to get a dedicated position they had advertised in my local classifieds. I couldn't get on this dedicated account cause of my home area, they let me know this after I get on with them of course. So I did regional and it wasn't too bad, but I was still wanting to be home more at the time. So while I was at home on time off I decided I was gonna get a local job, called them and told them I wasn't gonna work for them anymore and would bring truck to yard.
The new manager at the time asks me why I am quiting and I said "I'm just sick of Knight", he thens says well you need to go see a doctor and get a note before you can dive the truck back, WTF!!! I let him know I am not ill, just tired of this company bs'ing me about something I came here for in the first place. He then says I will charge you with abandonment if you can't bring the truck back. After that I gained my first "would you rehire = NO" and the person who filled out the paperwork was my old manager and told me not to worry he would make sure I was taken care of. The truck was at my local truck and trailer drop yard anyway that Knight leased, I wished many very bad things on that jerk for that. Last I heard that guy was fired months later, karma baby.
Oh and they still send me letters trying to rehire me back lol, dumb company. -
lol a doctors note. My neighbor is trying to get on with them.

All I have EVER heard about them is bad. I been trucking since 01 and always looked and listened to other drivers and some bs for sure and most exaggerate. But some were in the number of people disgruntled there must be some truth.
Defiantly shady company from what I hear. -
Hell Swift didn't even go that far. I had to go pick it up at the station. Lol!
