Do you other ProStar drivers think the factory bed sucks?
I added a 4 inch memory foam pad with cover and what a HUGE difference.
88 bucks at Walmart.Best money i have spent on the truck so far.
The bed is about 12 inches thick now...raises me up good for watching the flat screen tv too.

Just wondering if they all come with that crappy bed or does it depend on how the truck was ordered.

It doesn't bother me. I always put a fitted sheet over the mattress and my sleeping bag is nice and comfy (and warm!).

thats what i did--the walmart memeory foam thing---seems to help a lot--and when it gets nasty it can be just chucked out--saves the old crapy mattress as well as it doesnt get sweaty

All the new trucks are not built like they used to be.
I used to love the old KW i drove and had a Freightliner Classic XL that was a good truck.

As far as my 2010 ProStar now.....It rides good, drives good and has plenty of room but like most other new trucks it is about all plastic...
2 more years and it gets traded in on a 2013 model.

Agree....The pad i bought has the washable cover.Plus i have 2 nice thick comforters on top of that.
What little i sleep i want it comfortable.I never stay in the bunk more than 5 or 6 hours.Usually more like 3 hours. Fix the log book and keep digging..

    #### I didn't even think about putting up a memory foam. Stock isn't all that bad, but my big peeve about the bed is how low it is. I use about 5 pillows to get comfortable to watch the flat screen.

Yea,The 4 inch foam raises you up pretty good. The TV even looks better without having to look up at it.More of a straight view.
The one at Wally world that is made for a twin bed is the exact same width but about 2 inches shorter than the mattress.I just put the short end at my feet.
