Talked to the company owner yesterday. Told him about my plans to move and he said he didn't want to lose a good driver and had no problem with me staying on and running out of Florida. We have a terminal in Bartow, but it's about 95 miles from where we're moving to, so I should expect to operate out of there and get home only on weekends, unless we're working a job that would get me through the house more often. Looks like I won't be job hunting after all.

Yes, Kinghunter, moving back to the Melbourne area. Maybe Palm Bay or Eau Gallie.

I drive for J. Grady Randolph. Our primary customer is Metromont, who has a plant in Bartow. They're a prestessed concrete manufacturer and build parking decks and office buildings.

Some drivers do, those that don't live near our facilities, but I don't. The Greenville, SC yard is only 10 miles from my house, so I leave mine at the yard. When I move to Florida, I will have to have a place at home to park it, though.

However, trucks are assigned and no slip seating, if that's your question.

I know of a place but they charge $$$. Also, I know of another one where drivers park their trucks as well but check on them daily. Sicilans charges 150.00 a month to rent a spot in their yard. They are wickham Rd across from Wendy's between Aurora and Lake Washington. PM me for more information.

Hey King, I know of that yard. There is a yard on Babcock just south of Malabar next to the 95. It is a storage facility with plenty of truck parking. Fenced in, but have no idea what they charge. It is always close to capacity every time I drive by there.

    $150 a month ????

    Wow.....kinda expensive.......

    Location may dictate price.

We pay $35 a month, locked, lighted, in a safe area, but no guard !!
