Depends on what you are hauling. That works out to be $1.95/mile one way, unless your coming back MT? If your hauling grain, thats a pretty dang good rate. Find something to haul back and your golden.

How do you run for $1.00/mile? Fuel and wages alone are over $1.00/mile. Add to this insurance, truck and trailer payments, insurance, fuel tax, office expences, maintenance fund, repairs, oil changes etc. etc.. Unless you have very little deadhead and a return load the rate seems light to me.

Work Smarter NOT Harder is my philosophy!

Know your cost per mile to operate and crunch the numbers and see if the load is profitable.. Just because your truck is paid for is great but, you have to maintain that rig! Tires, brakes, clutches, batteries, starters, sensors, ect.. will all cost you thousands per year in maintaince costs.

Sooner or later your gonna need to either buy another truck or totaly rebuild that old one. (My inframe is gonna cost me right around $15,000 if I decide to do it? I might just get rid of the truck?)

I just did my taxes and I averaged $2 per mile for all my miles last year.. both loaded & empty.. I think I did okay with those numbers?

Maintaining a paid for truck is far cheaper than getting caught in the credit trap.

You see, the shipper paying $750 to haul his product is what he's paying. BUT, you getting back is your problem, not his. Therefore, since you are an O/O, you need to find a paying load to return. That's trucking.......
