One of the benefits of a CDL--same everywhere--just go to DMV in Fl and exchange--they will accept your current license--they will have you take a BS eye exam--and if you already have your haz-mat(depending on how long since last hazmat reqaulify)may have you retake written--no biggie--BUT if you aare going to FLA--make an APPOINTMENT--if you are in any larger areas--or you will be there all day!
just my $.02 -
I moved from Iowa to Texas and everything transferred except my Hazmat. I needed to retest for it but I just let it go since I wouldn't be using it while down here. I'll take the test again when I move back to Iowa

Some states now require you to retest to get a CDL in them. No transfers. Stupid hassle. Hopefully not Florida.

I don't know if Florida has changed, but in 2000 when I moved there, the only thing I had to retest on was my hazmat.
