Still at the econolodge in Fontana. Walked east on the street in front to dairy queen, bout two miles. Rough area. Advise staying close to the hotel

I'm going to school monday and my family is asking how often I would have to unload a trailer. I basically told them never but if you had to guess how often do you have to unload a trailer yourself at Central.

Gat, we have never had to. We have chosen to on a few occasions if it is going to take them too long. And we have helped unload when we have had a ltl multi drop load that was unloading in the street just to get it done quicker and to the next drop. I have heard wal-mart flower runs at some locations they want you to pull off the flowers yourself (like the kind in garden not the ones that go in a vase), but we never had one. We have chosen to unload about a dozen or so loads in 18 months. Hope that helps.

Wow, that many? I did one driver-assist (Fred Meyer) and one partial (Casa Grande, Shamrock Foods) no lumpers available. Central paid $16.00 WOW! Never again as I am no longer at Central.

That is what lumpers are for!!!! Lots of oppportunity, but all of them places have lumpers and central pays the fees

Though, I hear the Chrismas Trees are driver unload and no lumpers.

In that drop yard, to get your trailer out you have to slide the tandems all the way forward, it is that tight.

I hate that MF'er! all the trl in the yars are so close together that you barely have room to raise the landing gear. Then when the tandems are all the way back you have no room to get the trl out. :biggrin_25510:
