this company has alot of freight, but what they dont tell you is they pay short miles. For a 700 mile run you lose 70 miles, then you lose first 50 miles to pickup.last straw was I got a 472.00 ticket for not having a oregon permit which they was suppose to provide per contract.the pay is .93 plus .34 fsc

    WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!
    $.93 + $34 FSC?
You are a company driver making that?
Whats the recruiters phone number as I want some of that!
Unless you're an O/O and you actually signed a contract for that piddling pathetic mileage pay? No wonder you got screwed on a ticket as they already screwed you on that mileage pay and saw you coming!
WHY would you sign for such low pay? And NO $.93 and that FSC is NOT good pay! That is $1.27 a mile! That's pathetic! Even on those fleece deals! Do you even know how to go on line and check freight rates?

Why are you whining about a silly $472.00 ticket when it's their ticket to pay! Haul out their or that contract and wave it under their nose as you hand them that ticket BUT keep on their arses until they pay it or you pay it and take them to civil court for!

But really $.93 a mile before a FSC?
Oh pick my silly old arse up off the floor before I laugh my butt off!

I am a o/o and most companies are paying between .90 and .94 cents.fsc is a different deal.when I started working for them fuel was alot cheaper.I dont have my own authority and after placing a application on layover.com I believe most companies are as pathatic as this one.I am home trying to sell my truck.Really I think that to laugh at another driver for whatever reason doesnt really serve a purpose. Are you one of those drivers that sits in your truck and enjoys watching a driver backup into another truck, instead of getting out and helping.so sad

I Guess you will really roll on the floor and need a crane to pick your big arse up off the floor when I tell you my rate is $.90 cpm BEFORE fuel surcharge.
It really depends on what the company you are leased to pays for. Such as: Plates, Permits, Tolls, Scales, Lumper Fees, Layover pay, Detention, Truck Wash, ect. ect.ect.
My last pay voucher AFTER expenses (including fuel and taxes) on 3,443 miles was $2,664.37. Which comes out to $.77 CPM (NET income for the week).
I was looking at a company that advertises on XM Radio for a $1.00 per mile. After looking into this company, I found out that the O/O has to pay $8000.00 per year just for the honor of moving their freight due to: Plates, Permits, Tolls, Scales, Lumper Fees, Layover pay, Detention, Truck Wash, ect. ect.ect.
So, I think I will stay where I am at for the time being. Unless, ofcourse, SOMEONE can direct me to better company.

    wndrwtr:

A helpful link to help you argue that pay per mile! This is produce only.
I broker when pay is better for the driver.

    http://search.ams.usda.gov/mnreports/wa_fv190.txt

Produce rates are down due to that time of the year BUT they usually sit above $2.25 in season before a FSC is added.
I'll be brokering again when season hits and I only take 10% off for the work not stupid money as most brokerages and companies do! A few phone calls and sending a few faxes or emails isn't worth what those BFI Brokers are sucking out of the rates! it's sit on your arse work! Nothing hard!

    You're getting bent.
Sorry, but a skinny person can pick my old arse up off the floor cranes not needed. Ain't no fat on it anywhere! Look at the picture!

    Please explain your math.
Especially your FSC and the miles per gallon you get. They aren't adding up or subtracting right!
