I'll add that with fuel going up, right NOW might not be a good idea. My wife and I worked for Covenant in 2008 when fuel was hitting $4.50-5.00 a gallon. Covenant wouldn't deadhead us more than 50 miles for a load, and we sat for days at each end of a run - finally left because were were making about $200 each per week.
My advice is to wait and see what happens with oil futures once the pwers that be agree to open up the strategic reserves - that may make a good enough turn on oil prices to bring pump prices down.

I don't know if I'd say it like that either just have to kind of find out for yourself. Talk to other drivers in the company you're looking at as well.

but then again, knowing THAT person, which "nut" would up for debate.... -
