I was lucky, i got my trainer right out of orentaion. They are starting to lower the trucks to 62 its like walking down the freeway.dedicated fleet is 1st the new speedlimit

 

Just wondering how's ur training going, they are running my trainer and i pretty hard. But its part of the job

 

I intend to go to Werner in about 4 weeks. I live in the Cincinnati Ohio area. - will be a student driver fresh out of school. Any info is appreciated since the first company is a pretty important decision. I can choose either the family dollar dedicated , regional or otr. Look forward to seeing you guys soon. Im fresh out of school also, with family dollar, i like it. When your training alls you have to do is drive you don't have to unload the trailer unless you want to. You back into some tight spots alot of blindsides and 45.

 

Hope your new trainer treats u well . You getting a lot of hours?

 

My trainer is layed back. I hear there is a trainer from family dollar that likes to yell at his students and makes them unload the trailer but its not the students job to unload u can help but that's up to u if u want to. I've been on the truck for almost 3 weeks andhave more than half my hours I need

 

Family Dollar DOES get you home every week... if you're not stranded and out of hours.

Unloading your truck solo is BAD. Getting lost is worse, qualcomm directions are iffy at best since they are all from a central point on a map for DG accounts. They arent even as accurate as the normal QC directions.

Take my advice.... get out of DG and do your year dredge time on 48 (or regional now).
