sounds like an aux to me.

also doesent sound like a good setup for a dump truck because you can only dump in a pile and not spread.

The PTO is driven normally, it's just on the back box. And you can spread with this, the pto will turn even if the aux is in gear. You'll definitely have to ask though, cause if I remember right, you only use low for one or two gears depending on which tranny it is. The other low side gears end up being a duplicate ratio to a high side gear. It's like the 'dummy' hole on 9,13,and 18-speeds. Those other gears are there, you just don't use them.

yeah, have been told this one isn't great for spreading, use #3 if possible if have to deliver it spread. can, but is a pain. I dunno?

fyi: I didn't have to drive it today. "pretty boy" called in sick so I took #3, the easy one I've driven before, hehe.
I did check out the cab after work. lol. there are no stickers, no visors w/ stickers, just flat no visors. the little tags, all the lettering worn off. lol
doesn't look that difficult tho, not friendly to short people how far over the high/low/reverse stick is.
boss said he doesn't use low at all empty, and way he described driving it similar to how Hammer166 was saying. (he is a firm believer of "just get in and drive it, it's not hard, you'll figure it out. I'll check on ya in a bit." trusting soul isn't he?)
chopper103in: that is almost exactly how most of the guys told me to drive it. and that I can't hurt it, very easy to drive. will find out Monday if "pretty boy" gets to pick which one he going out in, hehe.

    thanks y'all

the ones that i drove also had an electrical on/off switch for the pto usually on the floor on the right side of the seat, we always kept this on because we always needed preasure for the booster axel on the mixers

if it has one of these switches you might be able to spread by turning it off to stop your hoist

The up and down control for the dump beds have a neutral position so stopping the bed isn't a problem.

    chopper103in and msfern29 Thank this.
