just as an afterthought if you ever get through kingman, az in your travels, look up the aircraft junkyard there....all our 27's are there, as well as those and the dc-8's of every other smaller cargo company that used to fly the mail before fedex put them all out of business when they created their own government sponsered monopoly....it's a sad sight seeing all those dependable, graceful old birds just being mothballed to sell off as spare parts for everyone flying them in other countries....

No not me, I don't live there anymore. I moved back to my home town in KY in 2003. But when I was there I lived on Eastwood Dr. Went through there last year for old times sake coming back home from FL. They have literally ruined the place if you ask me. Bullsboro Dr was a mess, plus all the commercial business they've built. Its a shame.

When I moved there there was only Walmart, Lowes and the mom n pop store at Thomas Crossroads. Now it's like a mall road or something.

If you ask me they've ruined that area with all the build up. When I moved there you had the mom n pop BP station at Thomas Crossroads, and Walmart. Now it's like a Mall Road strip there.

Hey guys; I enjoy reading your threads and like a couple of you I'm ex-DAL, although at times I can't say their name. I'm in school right now at a community college and was wondering if Millis hires graduates from other places. I live near Canton so C'ville would be ideal. Take care.

PS-To answer the question about going to FedEx it would be difficult for someone to do. You start at the bottom if you can get hired. Kinda wished I had done that in 1978!!

We have two guys in our current class that already have thier CDL's and they still have to go through the Millis class. I do not believe that you will be hired without attending thier classroom training. I may be wrong. Check out thier website and call the recruiters to find out what you need to know. Everyone is very helpful in answering all questions that you could think of.

They won't hire anyone out of a community college like that. You either need to attend their school or have 1 year recent experience. Good Luck!

Well training is done and orientation starts tomorrow. I still haven't heard anything about a trainer yet. Overall I felt the training was good. Bill and Woody are very knowledgeable instructors. I still have no idea what pay scale i am going with. I just can't wait to get orientation over with and get on the road.
