Good luck! Lotsa prayers coming your way for tomorrow. You can do it! (or have done it and have more to do... I'm a little behind). :biggrin_2559:

today we went back out on the road and I have to say I'm really liking it. I'm doing very well. Only missed one downshift and popped it right back into gear an tried again an got er in no problem. Didn't have any issues at all today. Instructor said I'm doing great. Also said if I want to there will be an open test spot at the DMV the week after next and if I want to I can have it. He thinks I'll be more than ready by then, two weeks ahead of schedule! Don't know if I will take it or not. I'll let him know next week. I'm happy I chose this school. I think I'm doing really good. That's half due to the good instructors as well as my desire to learn an be good at what I'm doing.

So not a whole lot to report today. Got tested on the PTI, In Cab, and COLA, I passed no problem. We spent most of our time practicing skills on the range, alley dock, straight back, and parallel park. I'm feeling pretty good with everything. We also went and stopped by where the DMV does their skills test so we could each run thru the test to practice. I did all 3 skills with only 2 pull ups, 1 for parallel and 1 for the alley dock. It looks like I'll be testing for my license at the DMV some time next week. If I pass then I'll have 2 and a half extra weeks of just on the road practice. Oh and the instructor said that tomorrow we'll be taking out the 48ft trailer! Once again, if you're in the Modesto area STAY OFF THE SIDEWALKS!! :biggrin_2559:

Another day out on the road. Only difference is we took the 48 foot trailer out. It was mostly getting on and off the freeway over and over again. Pretty cool. I didn't really have any problems. Remembered to swing wide, stayed in my lane, and didn't take out any signs or pedestrians so I think I did ok :biggrin_2559: Tomorrow is more range practice time then on Thurs I think we are takin the big boy trailer into some city traffic:biggrin_25512: Tomorrow I'm takin a trip to the DMV before class, not for anything truck related, I have to retake the motorcycle written test before I take the truck test next week. Thursday before school I have to goto the TSA place to fill out paperwork and get fingerprinted for my hazmat endorsement, oh and to give them their money:biggrin_25513: Busy week this week lol.

I have to do all that too, minus the truck paperwork. But I have to go take my hazmat test, do the TSA thing (where are you goin, Lodi?), and take my motorcycle test and do the MJC thing over the weekend. That'll be a nice $500 project once time & fuel are added up to DMV/TSA/MJC costs..

If your headed back home or have the time on Thursday between 10:30 and 2:00pm you should stop by the WePac campus in Stockton. We will probably be in the yard, however this week is weird and our rotation is screwed up. So might not be a bad idea to send a txt if you are thinking of stopping by.

Yeah I'm goin to Lodi. It's the closest TSA place. I did the MSF at MJC last year. It's a cool class. The instructors really know their shtuff. I think it was worth the price. Thankfully I only have to take the written moto test at DMV tomorrow. When I took my CDL permit test I also had to take the moto and class c renewal tests. I took 8 tests that day & the only one I didn't pass was the moto :biggrin_25510: missed it by 1 question and when I went back and reread the questions I missed I couldn't believe I missed them. I think my brain was fried from taking all those tests at once lol.

Hey I was just wondering, who are you working for? Do they hire recently graduated students? Send me a PM if you don't mind. I'm not expecting to find local work straight out of school but thats not going to stop me from putting in applications lol. I'm applying to Central Valley Trucking/Concrete, Ingomar, Morning Star, Cencal Beverages, and a couple other seasonal "Ag" haulers.

Here is the truck I was driving today. Notice the perfect parking job? Right between the lines. Well its not like I had to thread it between any other trucks or anything lol.
