You can't miss it. You can actually see it from 99 on the West side between Fremont and Waterloo.... It is on Broadway which is the first street West of 99... Hope you get a chance. Talk to you later

He is talking about the Western Pacific Truck School campus in Stockton. I guess you can see it from the 99. I'm gonna try and stop by there tomorrow and say whats up to him if I have time after I goto the TSA office in Lodi.Flying Dutchman Thanks this.

Today was the usual lol. First we got assigned our practice trucks/trailers. Went and hooked up and then got tested on the PTI, In Cab, and Air Brake Check(COLA). I only missed one point on the whole thing. It seems like the more I do it the better I get. After that we practiced skills(alley dock, parallel, and straight back) some more. After a while we made a quick trip to the DMV skills test site to practice there a few times. Headed back to the school, unhooked, and parked our trucks and chatted for a few minutes with the instructor(by the way he's a really nice guy ). So it looks like I'll be testing either Monday at 10a.m. or 1p.m. OR on Friday in those same time slots, still not 100% sure which day yet. I think I'll be ready to though, not to worried, YET.
Tomorrow we are supposed to go out and practice freeway driving again, onramps/offramps ect. But I think instead we are going to do city driving to be better prepared for our tests next week.
On another note, I failed the #### DMV motorcycle written test AGAIN!
Also found out that if I fail it a 3rd time that means I'll have to retake ALL 8 tests I took when I got my permit. So needless to say I'm going to study my ### off to make sure I pass the #### thing the next time I try.

Good luck, I hate that rule.

The only way around it if I don't pass on my next try is to drop the moto endorsement all together, finalize my CDL stuff, then once I'm done with that go back in to the DMV and take the moto test to get my permit. Once I pass the permit test again I'll either have to do the skills test(the lollipop) OR take the MSF again(another $250!). Talk about a pain in the ###. Oh well. Here's to hoping I pass it next time and avoid all the hassles.

Not too much to report today. Just more of the same. We went out driving. For some reason I couldn't get comfortable in the seat today. I was either too high, too low, too far away from the clutch or too far away from the wheel lol. I thought my driving was horrible today but the other student said that I did fine. He didn't notice that it was bad at all. We stopped by the DMV skills test area again and I couldn't get that right either lol. Guess I just had an off day. Hopefully tomorrow will go better.
Found out next week I'll only be taking the PTI and In Cab tests at the DMV. I guess the Driving test spots went to other guys who are farther along in their training than we are. They want to make sure they test out before they graduate from the school. Thats fine with me. Just means I'm going to get a little more practice time before the test and that can't hurt.Trilleth Thanks this. -
Today we were supposed to be practicing on the range but instead we went out driving. My first time driving in the rain. We both did really well. City driving country driving freeway driving all went well. Although people in cars tend to drive like idiots in this weather lol. I think the rain just made me drive smoother. Shifting at lower rpms downshifting sooner. All in all a good day.

Sounds like you're doing great... although I get the frustration of the moto endorsement all too well! Good luck to you... you can do it!

Today went pretty good. They had to move our regular instructor to another campus for a while so we had a different guy. He seems pretty cool. Gives us a little different perspective. I did manage to pull off an alley dock in ONE shot! No pull ups!
I was pretty stoked lol. Unfortunately the next time I tried it took 3 pull ups :smt046 Oh well. I guess it just shows that I am getting better at it. After we practiced on the range for a while we went over to the DMV test site. We each got like 4 tries at each of the skills before we took off back to the school. I think I'm progressing really well. Definitely room for improvement but I'm getting better. Looks like I'll be taking the PTI and in cab tests at the DMV this Friday at either 8, 10 or 1. Hopefully 1, I'm not a morning person lol.
