Yes, It's the E-7 350. I agree, don't care for the interior either but she will serve the purpose. I plan to squeeze 2 years out of it and trade it in the TERP program.

My heater controls and a/c work but the water valve is leaking by and over running the a/c. Sure I can block it in but sometimes here on the coast you run through a temperature inversion after a rain and poof, windows all fog up. I'll be checking on the valve cost. Kind of a antique setup, uses a pull cable.

Pyro don't work and the #### foot valve will put you through the windshield if your not careful.

Since your good with dogs let me ask....... I want to disable the shutdown system. Alarms ok but I don't want it to shut down. Possible or do I need software ?

    ABS light on....... sensor failure?
Dipstick leaking at block under nut...... gasket? O ring?

Recent compressor but no longevity.....easy to pump down / hard to build. Governor ? Drier? Poor rebuild?
    Tks....

Thats true about the pull cable being antique, but at least you don't have to depend on a computer to do what you want it to, when we had Volvos, the outdoor temp sensor would go bad on them, so the computer would think its 80 degrees out when it was below 0, so the computer wouldn't give you any heat. I don't even care what the outside temp is anyway, when I put it on hot or cold, thats what I want!

I'm suprised at how sensitive your brakes are, on every CH I've driven the peddle is really hard to push compared to other trucks.

Your pyro problem is more than likely just that sensor that is usually close to the turbo in the exhaust.

As far as the shutdown goes, I really don't think its possible to disable, although I'm not sure. That is definately controlled by the ECM, so if it is possible, it would be through software, otherwise I would think you would have to bypass the ECM, in which case the truck wouldn't run anyway.

The ABS light is more than likely just a sensor, but nobody seems to care for the ABS anyway, and that system being out will not affect normal braking operation.

For the dipstick, I've never looked at how the tube is attached, like I say wish I wasn't laid off so I could look at mine, but I'm sure there is just a gasket between it and the block.

When you said "recent compressor" did you mean you just had it rebuilt? The head gasket on mine went out, so when it would pump, there was this weird chirping noise coming from it and the air system would somtimes stop charging at a lower than normal PSI. Turns out on the kind I have anyway, you can't get just the head gasket anymore for some reason, so a rebuilt one was put on, and everything has been like new since. I'll tell ya though, I sure have had my share of problems with "new" or "rebuilt parts" being bad, nothing like pulling apart a somewhat modern vehicle to replace a part thats impossible to get to, put it all back together and then have to tear everything apart again a week or so later for the exact same thing.
