Are there any fans of the Waffle House? We don't have any here CA, but when I am in the south I make sure to have a chocolate chip waffle and/or one of their omlettes. I like the way they whip air into the eggs.
Stupid thread, but it got me to my 50th post.

The furthest west I've ever seen a Waffle House is Phoenix. Just one in town, I think, 59th st. exit off the I-10, near the old Circle 'K' truxtop, I mean the old Pilot, I mean the Quick trip fuel stop. Do the waitresses still stand back from the cook about 6 feet and yell out the order ? I have fond memories of the one in Indy across from Buds truck stop, near the Dollar Motel.

That still how they do it--and along with saying Good Morning(or whatever) in stereo etc when you walk in--and they changed their coffee a few years back!--and the grits a real!!

I would kill for a case of the old coffee

I do love me some waffle house. I used to always stop at the one next to the Peelot in Oak Grove, KY twice a week when I went through to get me some breakfast.
