Anyone have experiance in Parumus, NJ with a "local" ticket? I pleaded "not guilty" just wonering what to expect. Ticket was for "Careless driving". Officer stated I was "Tailgateing". Actully dissagreed with him. 4 wheelers cut you off like mad at the RT 17 & RT 4 junction. He told me he did me a favor not giving me a "Tailgateing", 4 pts vs "careless driving"
2 pts. He also stated on the ticket it was "raining and wet roads" It was not raining, no wipers on, window half down. He came to the truck with no hat on and his dress blue shirt only.

It's your word against his, who is the judge going to believe.....

Errors on ticket rarely provide a way out.

Try. You never know. Bring a NOAA report for that day. We should all have dash cams for this kind of poop.

Since they did that rt4@rt17 intersection over it's a lot better than it used to be. Paramus cops are usually quite easy going,I had one let me off w/ a warning when I u turned right in front of him in my wife's car.If you don't have a lawyer I would get one it's your CDL,you have to protect it.

You need an attorney to represent you - and protect your CDL.

Def. go to court 9 out 10 times it will get reduced to a fine and court cost. They will drop the points. They are just interested in the money side.Need to really watch your self now in jersey, all the cops out there are trying to keep there jobs.He who writes the most tickets wins.

I live in Jersey, and frequent the Paramus are often. Paramus has been tarketing comercial vehicles of all sizes for years now. The Bergen county Sheriff is the worst. Watch your back's, and avoid rt.17 if you can. They don't like big trucks cutting up to 287 to avoid the 95 traffic
