    HeY driver!
You don't have to buy the fuel anymore. :biggrin_25512::biggrin_25525:
If the boys in "distinctive orange" suits and ties aren't complainin' --- relax. Go with the flow.
Are they even buyin' new Big trucks with this economy the way it is?
What do you think they'll put you in next?

You mentioned you went company after your truck caught fire.
Didn't your insurance cover the loss?
Why settle for drivin' a well worn company Big truck
when you could be drivin' your own?

I just picked the truck up that Monday. Went for my test drive in it on Tuesday, caught fire on the way back from the road test. The ins did cover everything. They tried to get me into a T2000 when they new from the get go, that would never happen, then tried to get me to take a baby bunk Pete 386.

Who knows what I will get next. Not even sure right now about staying. The OC that I work out of only gets very used trucks. There are brand new ones sitting there, but they do not belong to that OC. They are being saved for a new dedicated account opening up. 2010 Cascadias.

They talked to me about going IC again, said okay, and had me resubmit my paperwork. This time denied me. Will not tell me why, after being told that I could after 3 months company driver. I think that they are pissed because I would not sign on a dotted line for something that I did not want, after being told by instructors there, and even some in Finance. Do not sign for what not happy with.

This keeps happening to my husband with Roehl. It seems to been a common occurance with all these trucking companies. Other than that what does he think of Schneider?

i got with schneider (based out of fontana) just over a year ago when i just got my cdl out of trucking school. For drivers with no otr experience they require a minimum of 6 months teaming all 48 states before u can go regional, dedicated...etc. I ran team for 7 months and ran solo western regional for 5 months. Schneider was never a long term fit for me i just stayed long enough to get experience i needed for a local job that i wanted to get. Over all schneider is ok

Who ever told you that is full of crap, I started Schneider right out of CDL school with no prior experience, and started solo 11 western regional out of Fontana from DAY ONE. Now with that in mind...there were a few guys in my orientation that were told by their recruiters that the only spots that were open for them were teams so they signed up for that. They lived in the same area I do and when they found out that western regional was available they tried to switch and were told they had to wait 6 months before being able to change work assignments. I think it was more of the recruiters getting a better commission for signing on team drivers vs solo regional so they try to push that on unknowing drivers who call up and talk to recruiters before doing research on the company.

    Howdy neighbor!

Freighty-Kat didn't relate what he was told,
he related his actual experience, albeit based on what
he was initially told, which seems to have been accurate information.
