I wish all drivers would realize that running legal speed will get you there just the same and it's a whole lot less stressful not having to worry about it.

I run 75, from Atl to MI, i do 2 runs a week, and i run this section of 75 4 times a week.... the entire length of the const. zone signs say " TRUCKS USE 2 LEFT LANE ". amazes me all the time the amount of trucks that stay out in that right lane... the second accident is exactly why trucks are supposed to stay in the left 2 lanes... thers no shoulder on the right... just a drop into the dirt/mud, no wonder how these trucks over turned...
as for the driver for USA, thats bad! bad! bbaadd!!!! however, again, being familuar with that section, that left lane is not very safe at all... at some points that cement wall cuts out in that left lane for no reason, the lanes are tight, theres no room for error at all... none!, i know the posted speed limit is 55, nobody does it, they go as fast as the vehicle in front of them will allow... its a poor const. zone set up on the lanes, and i swear they have been working on the section for what seems like the past million years...
from what i understand, the const crew that are working there, also did/do the work in Dayton as well, and if you travle that section you can see how poorly designed it is, and the way they do the lane shifts is a joke and you almost have no warning weather to keep left, keep right, hell, i been runing that section 4 times a week, for the past 2 years, and sometimes i still get confussed because they shift the lanes and use very poor advanced warning...
im not trying to justify anything for the driver that jack knifed or the driver that laid his down, im just saying, that section of 75 between Dayton and Franklin have always been a disaster in the making...

    Very true!

I was behind a driver heading north on 75 thru Downtown. He was holding at 50. Those abrupt lane changes are bad enough, but when he hit those bumpy patches in the middle of those turns.....:biggrin_25524: His trailer was REALLY getting a bit wild. He had to be fighting it a bit.

I wish the crud would be done and over with. Build the darn road already!
Since I have been in Dayton, its always like that. Two seasons around here, winter and cones...

hell yeah it is! right when they finished it how many trucks flipped on that ramp in the first month!!!! OH DOT and these const. companies need to get on the same page!!!....
from what i hear, the same const. companies that are doing that work in dayton and just below also were the ones that did the 70 interchange as well.

Speeding thru a construction zone, it was wet, trucker lost it went over center wall and landed on top of a 16 year old girl. I personally, would love to kick the ##$%& out of him. Glad he got busted.
