Trans Advantage is part of Unigroup. I don't know what they will do for somebody outside of the United/Mayflower system.
Depending on the type of trailer you are looking for Xtralease might be worth considering. -
Given the low prices on tractors and trailers, now is not a good time to lease, if there ever was a good time. Leasing vehicles is worse than an auto lease in terms of pricing, from what I found, particularly for the trailer.
Pull your credit together and bargain with a smaller truck sales company into selling you a 2004 or later Freightliner if you are starting our on a shoestring budget. Within a few weeks of driving with CHRobinson, or some other broker that pays quickly (without ripping you off with an quickpay fee) you should be able to get yourself on a sound financial footing to continue payments.
If you are broke down now, and wanting to lease just to deliver the load, call the broker immediately, tell them the situation, and plan to deliver late. Most repairs, short of a completely blown engine or transmission, can be done within a couple of days max. Then, pay for the fix with your credit card...scottied67 Thanks this. -

I don't know why more people don't lease. New truck every 3 years, fixed payment, etc. Someone explain why this is a bad thing???
Surprise $4000 repair bills 3 months in a row will sour your appetite real quick. Not to mention dig a big hole. Like I said, leasing seems like the smart option. I think it's the direction O/Os will have to go especially with the new laws and regulations. Use it for 3 then turn it back in. All maintenance paid for except oil changes. Makes sense to me, but everyone trashes leasing so what do I know. A lease purchase through a company I agree is dumb, but leasing vs. financing? I'm starting to believe in leasing. So you can't say you own it technically, big woop. The truck is a tool to make money and nothing more.scatruck, TheBigCat and scottied67 Thank this. -
Payments come to a end, lease payments don't. I have a very nice truck, payment is $0.
Several thousand a month into lease payments or into my retirement. I pefer to support me, not Roger Penksy.rjones56 and bullhaulerswife Thank this. -
And like I said, add in the cost of fixing that used truck that supposedly costs zero and it probably costs very little more to drive a new truck and have fewer worries every 3 years. Old trucks don't run forever. Nothing in life is free.
Basically pay now or pay later.scottied67 Thanks this.
