Do we split our break in two with minimum 4 hour breaks? Can someone explain how to pause my driving time in my logbook.

The only way you can stop the 14-hour clock is to take a minimum 8 hour break entirely in the sleeper.

there is no way to extend your hours. The only way to stop the clock is 8 hours in the sleeper. You can drive out whatever hours you have left to drive from before your break, eg you drive 6, take the 8 hours in the sleeper which leaves you with 5 hours to drive, after which you have to take a 2 hour break.

This is the ONLY way you can split log at this time.

That was a dick answer! Not all truckers are OTR and have to deal with logs on a daily basis. I thought this forum was supposed to be helpful. Instead, it gives you the green light to be a jerk!
