Do we split our break in two with minimum 4 hour breaks? Can someone explain how to pause my driving time in my logbook.

The only way you can stop the 14-hour clock is to take a minimum 8 hour break entirely in the sleeper.

With a question like that
It's another one post wonder -
Ok i went off duty for 11 hours. Came on duty at 7:30 am and drove from 7:45 am to 9:00 am then went on duty for 15 more minutes 9:15 am then I went off duty for 6 hours. Now i want to reach my destination by 10:30 pm. How can i do this when my 14 hours ends at 9:30 pm?

Close your eyes, then click your heels together 3 times and repeat, there's no place like ( Insert destination here ), there's no place like ( Insert destination here ), there's no place like ( Insert destination here ).

that right there will give you an extra 2 hours on the duty day---unless you are hauling a house

there is no way to extend your hours. The only way to stop the clock is 8 hours in the sleeper. You can drive out whatever hours you have left to drive from before your break, eg you drive 6, take the 8 hours in the sleeper which leaves you with 5 hours to drive, after which you have to take a 2 hour break.
This is the ONLY way you can split log at this time. -
That's easy!! Drive faster!

That was a dick answer! Not all truckers are OTR and have to deal with logs on a daily basis. I thought this forum was supposed to be helpful. Instead, it gives you the green light to be a jerk!Force Fed Flesh Thanks this.
