Yesterday at the Avendel Yard, and about 15 mt trailers, Costco in Morris, who knows how many are there, Sears in Wilkes Barre, Pa. What really sucks, take a loaded trailer into Costco, can not take a MT out. Tell you to go across the street at the TA and look for one. If none there, then get ready to start searching

This is one thing that really gets my goat- if I bring a trailer in, I have the right to take a trailer out. I understand them not wanting me to bobtail in and grab an empty, though I really don't think the customer has the right to stop me from that either. Those trailers belong to Swift, and if Swift tells me to go get a trailer at such and such location, what right does a rent-a-cop have to tell me I can't?

But still, I understand the not allowing me to grab an empty if I didn't bring a trailer in. If I drop a load, though, I get real ticked off when they tell me I can't have an empty. "Well, we need those trailers to load." Fine then, unload the one I brought in and you can use that one!

Back a long long time ago, I was told to drop my trailer at a Costco yard in Shippensburg and then bobtail to the Kmart in Chambersurg to pickup a load. When I got to the Kmart, they refused to give me the load w/o an empty. Swift said they'd send another driver in with an empty to replace the trailer I was scheduled to pickup. The guards absolutley refused to give me the load until that other driver showed up.

I just shrugged it off, cause it was Kmart to Kmart. I figured if they don't want me to haul it, I won't. Every minute they delayed giving me the load was another minute later the load would arrive in Warren.

OK ill ask a few questions. If the planers can see my hours that I send every day on mac 10. Then why do they send me a load that delivers 500 miles the next day and is 90 miles empty, and I have 1 hour to drive that day to p/u and its got to deliver the next day at 0900 in mass and its 1400 pick up time and live load. Also is there no fright going west if its going to be like last summer ill quit I refuse to be new england deacatied. And iam 48 states dont get me wrong ill go there, but when I spend 3 weeks out of 4 there it gets old. I did that all of last summer. Also I am on ms glovers board if you see her tell her porblem child says hi

You can call me anything you want. Just don't call me a swift driver! Nobody deserves that.

I wouldn't demean Swift by including this..... uh....can't say that word..... in the company, even by insinuation.

Must have a particular beef with Swift or he wouldn't be trying to derail a good discussion. What happened? Got turned down for a job? Oh, it doesn't matter. Because anything this individual has to say is useless crap only intended to cause trouble, with absolutely zero informational value. Wait...isn't that the definition of a .....can't say that word.... but we all know. Which is why my ignore list will grow by yet one more name.

    Ciao.

Actually, they do have a right to refuse an empty to you. They pay Swift to keep a certain number of empties there, and if they have less than that number, then they can and will refuse to let an empty go. I am not saying I agree with that, but yeah, thats the skinny.
