I think the felony charge is because of the Assault with a vehicle. If there were any witnesses that claimed he was Driving aggresivley, speeding etc. thru a work zone inbad road conditions and then wrecked seriously injuring someone then the assault clause would stick justifing the felony charge. And No, i wasnt there, didnt see it , not a cop or lawyer but assault is a felony and you know they will try and word it to make it worse for the driver like they usually do. -
Just read this thread and i realized all these accidents are about 5-7 miles north of my accident that i posted last week or so on another thread you have, man, talk about a bad omen in that area.

It's not any more challenging a stretch of road than many others, but with the traffic levels on that interstate any misstep will lead to tragedy.
Maybe its time they thought about lowering the workzone speed limits in that area... -
Maybe it's time they consider enforcing the limits already in place. Last time I went through there, I tried doing the limit. Car drivers were acting all crazy, had one get in front of me, point right and flip me off. Trucks passing with fractions of an inch to spare, yarping on their cell phones.

If I am not mistaken this is also one of those construction zones where they tried to maintain 3 lanes of traffic--by utilizing shoulder--where trucks are required to use middle and left lane--and the lanes really aren't wide enough--just another way to cause problems real quick--cars racing up right lane(shoulder to cut back in--of other drivers running the construction zone speed limit
Injun Thanks this. -
Isn't that the definition of a limit. They are also based on dry roads with good visibility. To many drivers, professional and not consider the speed limit to mean no more than 5 over and only when a bear is around.Injun Thanks this.

It's funny how I've seen probably 5 posts referring to someone talking on their cell phone. Would someone please show me where any of the crashes had anything to do with a phone? Typical BS, I guess stupidity played no part in any of the accidents right? You guys do realize the scape goat of the day is the cell phone but when the car radio came out people like all of you insisted it was going end life as we know it.
We've had 3 produce truck crashes here lately (as someone already stated). Must have been due to cell phones since taking the ramps too fast couldn't have had anything to do with it right?
