    I drove a GMC General when I first started,it ran backwards one day,got out of the truck scratching my head, WTF ???.

    back in the day I drove an old R700 ( one of my favorites) it had a 325 v-8 and we were hauling into an ash pit if you would lug it too far it would also belch and start running backwards had the old square farr air cleaner and smoke would start bellowing out the fins like an old 238...

    The old 318's sounded good, the Jakes on them were worthless, I think it made you go faster instead of slower.
