Just completed my CDL training and my instructor told me to check out James H. Clark and Sons in Salt Lake City. Does anyone know anything-good or bad-about this company? Any advice would be helpful.

Congratulations on earning your CDL. If Orem isn't too far from Salt Lake, get out there for a visit and look around.
UTAHNEWBIE Thanks this. -
GEARS:
Thanks for the advice. I've got a call in to Clark but I hate leaving voicemails so I'll see what happens by Monday.
Thanks again.Gears Thanks this. -
Ok, so I'm new at this forum stuff, but thank you again, Gears for the advice. Got a call today from James H Clark. They don't pay quite as well as Pride who I am also looking at but I'll leave the options open and see what I can come up with.
Gears Thanks this. -
They have nicer looking trucks than Pride, but I've heard both are fairly decent companies, and both will push you hard from I've been told.

Take which ever company will take you. Both seem to be great companies and I have yet to hear one negative word about James H Clark. Good luck in your decision.

Good luck to you -
Thanks for all the input. It really helps to "hear" from veterans.

so its a month later who did you go with? what school did you go to?

Filled an app with both companies in the past month. Clark told me three weeks ago that they were reviewing new drivers within the next two weeks...three weeks ago. I'll call Pride this week and see where my app is with them. I'm more excited about their equipment the more I think about it. I'm likeing the Freightliner Cascadia the more I see it and Pride's web site was updated Friday saying new drivers could sign on today and get into a brand new Cascadia. I'm sure that refers to veteran drivers but I know they are always updating their equipment. I'll update this site when I hear more. Thanks for your interest.
