Its a toss up sparkys will give you better customer service and always seem to answer the phone when I have called. Custom CB (Doug) is a very good tech. Although today sparkys answered an email in 10 minutes and I placed my order. My second email has yet to be answered. Soooo if no reply in a day or so at least I will move to Bells CB next. I loved Dougs work but been 3 days since my email to him on a build and I have have troubles calling to order and getting recipts prior. I have pretty well written them off now after my last radio from 2 wks ago. The way I look at it is that I have spent roughly 1000.00 in the last 9 months on radios. If he doesn't want to provide a better customer service then I will move on to the next. I love cb's and like to test and expierment. I get bored fast with a radio or outgrow it then sell it move on to the next. I plan to spend another 1000.00 this year on them. Its alot of money but I spend 12 hrs a day in the truck and use them more then anythijng else I own. Its the way I justify spending the money and I also use it for tax write offs for work. Hope this helps a tad.

What kind of radio are you looking for or set up ?
-
well its a toss up between a stryker radio or connex not sure on witch one yet
-
If your looking for one that has SSB...Word has it "Stryker" is getting ready to finally release a radio with SSB!
(only took them about 5 years to make up their mind...)
I had a Stryker 440 once...One of the first batch that came out, and got lots of compliments on the way it sounded...Bad part was, the thing was blinding at night with all the blue lighting...Even on dim I kept a baseball cap in the truck to cover it up at night...I think the Newer ones now tho have a better dimmer control from what I've herd...
As for the Connex, I have a General Lee that I use now, which is basically the same radio as the Connex 3300. And it's a "Audio Monster". Very similar sounding as the Styker 440, and without all the flashy lights. -
I bought my General Lee from Sparky's. I had no problems doing business with them and the radio is fantastic.

If your looking for A Stryker I just bought one # Dubs and he gave me a heck of a good deal on it.

I bought mine from Bells. Good customer service before and after the sale. The phone is answered EVERY TIME I call and Paul has been more than helpful with my questions before I made my decision and after I got my radio.
It's been 2 weeks since I signed up at sparkys and I'm still waiting for admin approval just to join a silly forum and get some answers and this is AFTER an email saying I saw you joined and why haven't you posted!
I replied to that email explaining why and still no admin approval and now no account even exists!
Sorry but that's a bad sign when it comes to customer service and I'll steer clear of Sparkys. He lost a pretty big sale.(Approx. $800) and more to come. The kicker was the email a week later and still no change in status except my account disappeared altogether now. -
You would not find many correct answers on that forum anyway. There are a few knowledgable members over there but for the most part it is cheerleaders bragging up their overmodulating "Sparkified" radios.
