Just want to say, "If you thought there was alot you learned in school about what it really takes to be a Professional truck driver", wait until you get out on the road and realize that what you learned in trucking school wasn't even .0000001% of what you really need and should know.....take your time, be patient and always have safety in mind and you will be just fine....The first year on the road is the toughest! You make it through that and you will be on your way to a great career if this is what you like to do......

I wish you all the luck, as far as who to go with, well take a little more advise...no matter which company you choose, your experience with them is going to depend more on your attitude and if you can make the best out of a bad situation then the actual name on the side of your truck...At least for the first 1-2 years...after you gain experience then your choice on which trucking company you choose will have much more significance...right now any truck company that picks you up will be very similar to any of the others

Yep I would follow Tanker Yanker 78 advice and go with a Little Produce hauling company,where they use nothing but brokers and your the lowest thing on the "who gets paid list" between the broker and the company you haul for,
YEP thats the ticket,,,run almost illegal all the time (cause thats the way we run things here at (POS Produce haulers) and oh yeah we cant pay you to be sitting at that shipper and or receiver caaaaauuuuse hey the broker dont pay us ,,,and OH yeah BTW kid payroll a lil short this week so the more senior drivers,welll HEH HEH I JUST HAD TO PAY THEM first you know,,,
YOU WANT A ADVANCE YOU SAY???? For what??? OH to EAT,,well just go by a Walmart and get you some Vienna Sausages and Ramen Noodles,HEY Thats How i got started and look how sucessful I am now at POS Produce Haulers

You could get your CDL and proper training through Conway Truckload,and be mentored into a more seasoned driver,earn a decent paycheck for ALL the miles you run,making .36cpm after your first year,run better than avg equipment with full baking of the company,and never have to worry if your paycheck will bounce and or your pay be cut,,or worse,,

Is Conway Truckload PERFECT? NOPE,and neither is any other company,make an informed decision and give it a year with whatever company you go with,after that year,re-access the position your in and "Drive-On" from there,,GOOD LUCK hand

IMHO one important question you need to ask and consider is, "Will the trainer supervise me while I drive 100% of the time, or will I end up running team with the trainer". You will need to learn a lot of information in a short time. A trainer in the sleeper isn't training anyone.
