And that may very well be. It's just the idea of having to jump thru hoops just to join the forum there in the first place and then still get nowhere...left a bad taste in my mouth and I was out of listerine so I said bye bye sparky.
I mean wtf...admin approval? If you don't want me here I can take a hint. lol
looking for a lil help

Same story here. I got the same email about a week or 10 days after I registered. And like you, I've decided to look elsewhere for any gear I need.

I ordered my antenna / coax setup from Walcott C.B. I found them because they came highly recommended from Firestik. Their 4' FS antennas and hood mounts for my Dodge Truck really woke up my Cobra 19. I couldn't get Custom C.B. radios to answer a phone call or return a email, so while talking to them I found out they tune up radios too. I am waiting on a new Cobra 29 LX with the RFX 75 board to put in my pickup, Hopefully I'll get a little more range out of the setup.
-
You'll get ALOT more range with that setup. I was pleasantly surprised what that RFX75 did to my 29 WXNWBT. Easily in the 10 mile range and that's thru hilly country. I bet out in the flats of western Iowa I'd get 20. And this is with the $23 FGT-4 Silverload for an antenna.

If Sparky sat on his ### and worked his message board issues instead of selling radios he wouldn't be in business very long. Big deal i say. I don't think it was anymore than a day, maybe two days max before I was registered on. Best to call the man to get issues resolved.

Very true.Isn't that why he appointed moderators?... not that they do much moderating though. The only mod I have ever seen do anything over there is Sixx and he is busy with his own forum.

And sit up and beg? Too late anyway.
I guess I'm a fickle (Potential) customer. It's kinda my right you know? The right to spend my money where I want to. One of the few rights I have left.
The kicker was the email asking why I hadn't posted. I couldn't even log in at the time.
Yeah I tried sending emails but did not call. There are too many forums (and online CB Shops) to waste time with this exclusive outfit.
Taildrager I hope you find a place to get your new radio. The only advice I can give you is to use a credit card so you can bring their clout to bear. Remember credit cards double your warranty in most cases on NEW radios.

Very simple solution then...do away with the admin approval nonsense...like he's some kind of god or some ####. Bow to me and I MAY grant you access to my domain...when I get around to it. C'mon...be for real!
Oh well, it's his ### he's cookin'. -
If you want to call it begging.
I'm sure the admin approval was done to ensure spammers would stay off, not to make someone mad. I don't think Al is losing any sleep over losing a potential customer. -
Obviously not huh
