A truck stop.

Drop the trailer at a yard.
Or find somewhere close by (Home Depot, Walmart...) that will allow you to park the truck/trailer for a couple days. -
How do you secure it and make sure no one messes with it? Also if I do drop the flatbed at a Home Depot, Walmart, etc..... do I have to let someone know or ask permission?
-
You alway's want to ask for permission or else you risk having the trailer towed. If your company does not have a secure location for you to park the trailer, you will need to do some leg work and start looking for secure spots. As far as securing a flatbed trailer you can use a kingpin lock and that is about it.

ask your company to find a spot for you, if their telling you to take the truck/trailer home then they will help you find a place to park
bmsfern29 Thanks this. -
Don't be disappointed when you company doesn't help you find a place to park the truck. It really comes down to your responsibility. Check truck stops, big box stores with ginoromous parking lots, vacant lots, grocery stores, anywhere with a parking lot. But make sure you ask for permission first, even on a lot that seems to be abandoned because somebody owns it.msfern29 Thanks this.
