ATS specialized

First, Thanks for your service.

I did drive for ATS. They are a good company. I only left cause of a family problem, and needed to be home. I drove in the Van Division, and was treated well. I did get miles and get home. But I did have an emergency and was needed at home. But they were not able to get me home when needed, but allowed me to drive home in the truck and return it the next few days.

Only problem I did have was getting paid back on some tolls. I did get plenty of miles.

 

Well, from what I have read, TMs promotes cehating on your log books, the minute you step into training. Haven't heard much about ATS, EXCEPT
1. This is the only company I have reserch that actually pays a decent wage while training. BUT the down side to that is the idea of being out 6 weeksfor training.
2. You go to Gary, IN for your orientation. Heard about that place? The murder capital of the domestic United States.
The recruiter at our school actually sat down with me and the wife, went over pay scales, time out and the idea of maybe doing a teaming deal. The down side to that would be leasing a brand new truck, AND having the wife do a solo for only 1 year.
Given the info, ATS is the better out of the two.

Is this "ATS" the same as Anderson Trucking Service?

 

I was also considering ATS. I live in TX and they told me I could lease purchase, make plenty of revenue, and be home often, considering my location in TX.
They have been up front and honest with all of my questions.
I will be waiting for GATS in August before I make a decision though.

 

They are only upfront on the phone,when you go to orientation and find out the whole story then you will know,you are out for three weeks and even then,you will not be able to stay home but a couple of days as you need to keep your payments up,they didn't offer a new truck to any lease drivers,unless they have changed policies on that,company drivers get new trucks and leasees get used sometimes worn out and mistreated trucks.You only get a completion bonus of 3200 dollars back,you will not be able to pay for a truck,house payments car payments etc,and keep your family happy unless you stay gone. If you still want it,I would go company driver,but,again,other companies like roehll are far better and get you home more to your family if you have one.
