I am working with a recruiter now to join the FB division as a company driver.

Any new feedback to assist me with my decision?

I'm told I need a TWIC card and hazmat. Do flatbeds do work on the docks and haul hazmat?

    Thanks!

Wow you dug up an old thread. I am in week 2 with Prime flatbed division. I plan on going Lease operator. Anyway YES they want you to have TWIC and Passport, I was told since I was going flat not to worry about my hazmat for now, if I decide to change to reefer then I will need to get Hazmat from what I was told. Now talk to drivers 10 and you get 10 different answers about hazmat. Good luck PM any questions or just post here.

Sweet, a new Prime driver in the division I'm interested in.

How's your experience been thus far?

8 weeks or so to go?

    600$/wk?

I am actually experienced I went to another company for 6 months and these guy prefer 8 months experience but will take 7, so I just need 20k miles to complete what I need for them. Should only be about 15 more days or so to go since the mileage is combined. It is $600 wk or .12 cpm whichever is better, my trainer said last trainee on the truck got about 800 a week so we will see. So far I am very impressed with Prime.

I'm in the prime flatbed side and twic card has made me some money. I deliver to the ports in Houston at least once a month. The hazmat loads that you'll pull are some roofing materials that have a sealant that comes with the load. I didn't have my hazmat so the customer just pulled the sealant of my trailer and put in on another load going to the same customer. I you want, I'll send you a pm with my number if you need so questions answered

I've been with prime a little over a year. I have no problems with them; but I think it has to do with a my work ethic and having a great dispatcher
