Traffic on Interstate 80 west is at a crawl after an early-morning truck crash.
The tractor-trailer went off the interstate about 3 a.m. Monday just east of the Tannersville exit (299) after the driver lost control in a construction zone.
The truck went down a steep embankment about 350 feet.
According to a tow truck driver, the driver and his 12-year-old son were able to get out of the truck safely. They were taken to the hospital to be checked.
Westbound traffic has been backed up most of the morning as crews remove the truck. that work is expected to be done about noon.
