I carry a 12 gauge pump......If they see the barrel sticking through the curtain and hear a round going in the chamber the knocking stops real fast...![]()

On your drivers side window, just put up a hand written sign stating that "I am a woman. Not interested. Knock on my door, wake me up and I'll blow your brains out!"
That should stop 99% of the door knocking. Good luck.PJSnickers Thanks this. -
What's cowardly about asking for advice from those with more experience in handling uncomfortable situations?Last edited by a moderator: Apr 23, 2011

How about, "I am a woman currently experiencing major PMS mood swings".Mdbluecrab and leannamarie Thank this.

I would not put a sign in my window advertising my gender. I don't hide it, but I don't think it's wise to put such a sign up indicating that a solo female driver runs that truck. It's kind of asking for trouble, ya know?
Rollover the Original and fancypants Thank this. -
I'm finding the grossly over exaggerated trucker stories rather amusing..
blackw900, fancypants, outerspacehillbilly and 3 others Thank this. -
Okay, how about this "Please, do not knock on my door. Wake me up and I'll blow your brains out!" Better? lol.outerspacehillbilly Thanks this.

I like what Walstib's wife did when he was on his way out for his first trip: She wrote a sign for him that said, "If you don't owe me money and you're not my wife, DON'T KNOCK!!" Or some such.
He hasn't complained of being disturbed.
Honestly, though. I have only had a LL knock once since I've been out here. Either our O/P is making poor choices of stopping points or the whole thread is BS. -
Yeah I didnt have any problems in the short time that I was out there. I did see a couple of the lot lizards in the parking lot going around to different trucks, but they never bothered me. It's definitely a good idea to at least open the window a little bit and tell them that you're not interested. Keep a hand on the air horn in case someone tries something.
