leaving for new boston swift

    heading out for new boston what can i expect when i get their i have to be their tuesday morning the 26th of april can any one give me a list of things that get done on the 4 days in new boston just dont want any suprises u know !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:biggrin_25515:

    also i was wourdering if and how long does it takes to be able to do temp/control os can i do that when i get done with my 10 day training?i am going lease when done with training also weres the money being made at in the swift trucking lines dry or temp/control leave tis tuedday april 26th 2011!!!!!!!!!!!

    In general, orientation includes a road test with a back, a drug test, a DOT physical, and lots of training videos and paperwork.

    I've never done reefer, so I have no idea how much money is there. Since you are out of New Boston, if you have your passport or can get it, look into running Canada. I've got a buddy doing that who swears by it- lots of money (he says) and he doesn't sit around. If you don't want that, though, I'm doing fine running dry freight OTR, as are many others.

    Orientation in Ocala consisted in the following order: a Drug test, paperwork (fuel card I-9, etc...), road test where you go around the block, lunch, physical. You get a take home hazmat test. The next day you do more paperwork, grade the hazmat test, videos. On Thursday you should get your driver code, and be assigned your mentors etc.. To get a dedicated account, it takes six months to prove yourself.

    KH did anyone in your orientation class need a DOT physical? Was it required before you showed up there? Asking because my recruiter said nothing about needing a DOT card before going.

    well i hope it dont take that long i have 3 months expericence in temp/control with prime they told me i would only need 7 to 10 days with a trainer and i already have my passcard so ya i am all about the money all i can get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
