well, i wasn't allowed to bobtail home from there, either. but i thought that kind of treatment was normal for company drivers. but still, they let you keep your truck for three days at home and you bobtailed there? piss on them.

From what I have been told, you can BT up to 45 miles. From Otay it is 33 miles home.

I was out for 6 weeks, so if I couldn't take 3 days (when technically I was due 6) without losing my truck I would have made some serious stink about it.

But I have a good DM, and she takes good care of me. It wasn't even an issue. I called her today and told her I wanted my PTA to be Wednesday at 0600, and she said 'that'll work, see you then'.

    I love my Suzie!!!

If you file for unemployment they will find you a truck!

You aren't kicking and screaming in the terminal managers office?

You were due 1 week's unemployment if you had filed on time.

I must have a very good DM. I stay out about 2 weeks, can bobtail 90 miles to the house or take a trailer if I have one, be home on Friday morning and have PTA set for 0800 Monday.

    Say what?

Did you file for unemployment yet, or tell them you are going to?

I read some of these posts and can't believe I am working for the same company as the posters....i have never had an issue with hometime. I typically stay out 3 weeks and take three full days off....what I am responding to though is that ..never once since I have worked here have I ever been informed I would loose my truck for taking my hometime. Sometimes I believe it is true that you get what you play for....just sayin'
