Saw that on the news this am. I almost stopped there for the night but went on to Christianburg instead.

Well, I'm in Yuma right now and headed to MS near Memphis TN.

I've got a bit of time on this load, so I'm taking my time to hopefully get in that area after the bad storms pass.

i have never seen or been in an actual tornado but saw the carnage/ death it caused live and up close. In the 70's when i drove for FFE out of Lancaster i went thru witchita Falls Tx. 24 hrs. prior and 30 hours after the horrible tornado of April 1979. being originally from brooklyn N.Y. i never witnessed carnage like that. I vividly remember seeing the destruction, dead livestock scattered as well as 1 human body lying close to the hiway

Awesome pic!...It was basically like that as it was very short and squat as the cloud deck was very low....Seemed like this one had edges that were more ragged...

The pic is from Tuscaloosa. I posted more pics form Glen Springs Va in Truckers News
As a child I seen the tornadoes that hit Louisville in 1974, then a again the Good Friday tornado that came thru Columbia Ky a few years ago. In that one I watched a home blow away alone with the garage that had are race car in it. Way to #### close for my liking. I hope I never see another one myself.

Glad to hear walstib that you are ok down there in AL. The news reports there have been over 150 killed just in AL and almost 250 total from the recent violent weather in AL and surrounding states. Everyone stay safe out there and pay attention to the news reports even if you are "safely" parked at a truck stop. Anyone remember the name of the truck stop on I-40 that was hit by a tornado in OK years ago? Ooops, that was I-44 and the truck stop was Bruce's. Stay safe out there.
